I'm having a problem with my computer. Specifically, the monitor won't boot up when the computer is started. I've tested the monitor and video card on a seperate computer and they both work fine. My motherboard isn't very old (maybe a half-year old), and hopefully that isn't the problem. I'm not sure of how long a warranty it has. Please list some possible causes of this and anything I can do to fix this problem.

You say you have an old motherboard, will that might be the porblem Or you might have "fried" the CPU When you start you PC check to see if the lights on the keyboard go on or flicker(if you have any) Next on the back of your PC check if the fan is spinning fast if the lights on the keyboard do not go on or don't flicker and tne fan seems to spinning very weakly than you probably fried you CPU and motherboard along with it.
