I am unable to save a graphics file in any other format than Bitmap, either from the net or other sources. Whether the file is JPG or other my system saves it only as Bitmap. If iam using Netscape as my browser I am able to save JPG files in the same format. But IE dont allow Any format other than Bitmap.

I tried to uninstall IE from the system and re-installed IE5, still the problem continues. Also while using IE the Back button brings an error message and will not go to the previous screen.

I am lost as to how to correct the problem. I tried to contact Microsoft, but they say that the Os came with the system so I should contact the computer manufacturer. I wrote to Dell, but no response!!!!.

I f you could help, I would be very greatful.

Thank you.

Babu

When your going to save something in jpeg or from bitman to jpeg you may want to open the image on the paint program Then click on the "save as" name your file and then under that there is another box click on the arrow in the box under and you should be able to see all the different formats that you can save your picture as, hope that works for you
