Windows Messenger software came with my computer when I bought it. I would like to uninstall it however everytime I try to even exit from it I get a message that says other programs are using messenger. I don't use messenger and have heard that it leave a door open for unwanted people to get into my computer. How can I disable it without affecting other programs?
thank you

First you must go to start-run- then type in msconfig-got to the startup tab, then uncheck msmessenger, this diables the messenger and keeps it from starting when ooting up.
