How can I make the volume on my laptop higher?

Is there any tweek that can increase the volume on a laptop?

There is not enough volume to listen to a CD or watch a DVD.

Any suggestions?

You should be able to use the OS to do it, check the properties of the volume, something might be all the way down, they are usually realy loud Go to start, Programs, Accessiories and than Entertainment Click volume It will show you what to do from there.
