Yesterday i bought a new ABIT motherboard as well as a AMD Athlon XP 2400+ proccessor.

I fit this into my tower with my existing GF4 TI card and my creative soundcard.

These 2 were working as i had them in my old computer.

On powering up the computer, I noticed that all fans, cdrom and hdd had response. However there was no signal output to the monitor.

I also bought another set of the same equipment and fit them into another pc. this one was using a 240W power supply and it managed to boot up. Mine was using a 300W power supply so i dont think its the power.

Could it be that i need to change the processor? or is the motherboard itself spoilt?

Thank You for your time.

Maby it could be the power supply, you need to check the power requirements that came with the new board because more power dosen't always mean better performance with computers maby you just have the jumpers set up the wrong way, but I think its the power supply
