Restarting computer

Having to restart the computer several times before it will actually start - (I do turn it off @ night) - then it starts in safe mode frequently - the last few days the monitor flickers or is wavy every few min. when in operation -

I think its your computer is running at maximum speed and can't deal with the things that you have on it maby the video card that you have is giving the truble Also for computers running todays programs 98 is not the best OS
