When booting up from the hard drive i am getting an error message reading "a read disk error has occured, press alt + ctrl + delete to restart." THere is nothing in the floppy or cd rom drives. Before this message is stated it is always a blinking cursor on a dark screen. My computer has been acting up lately and i believe there could be a virus on the computer even though i had norton system work 2003. I just recently reinstalled windows xp pro so that i could even access my computer. THere was a missing file in the previous installment. Im thinking it could be a hard drive failure/crash, but was wondering how to deal with it without buying a new hard drive for my laptop. I can't format the hard drive by the way, it says that the partition is corrupt and can not continue. If you could help in any way it would be greatly appriecated.

Well the first thing that I saw was the fact that the 20 gig hard drive is not enought for the OS and Northern systems works 2003 and its putting to much stress on the P2 for the way that you want your computer set up you may have to buy a new hard drive with more capicaty
