I am upgrading the motherboard on my pc. I just recently switched to XP from Win98. In the past after replacing a motherboard I have reinstalled windows over itself per a IT tech I used to know. He said it reloaded all the drivers and you would not lose any of your data. Do I still have to do this with XP and if so how. I have searched the internet and can not seem to find anyone who recomends doing this. Was this guy blowing smoke or was and is this required or recomended when replacing a motherboard?

Thanks

Louie
