Microsoft Office suddenly started showing a screen with no toolbars showing. I had done nothing to Office. I've tried deleting it, and reinstalling, but still get the same problem. Is there some hidden file I need to delete when I uninstall it? How can I get a reinstallation to appear as normal.

Depending on which program you want to use in microsoft office, these are the steps to follow.

close all programs,

click start and then my computer.

on the tools menu, click folder options

click view tab, click to clear the hide extensions for known file types box and click show hidden files and folders and then click OK.
