I am using a Microsoft Cordless Mouse (USB port) that works well in normal mode. However when I startup in "Safe Mode" (usually for Defrag) the mouse is inoperable making navagation with the keyboard necessary, which is messy to say the least..Also, starting in "Safe Mode" always brings up the "Windows Help Screen" and is difficult to navigate without a mouse..What can be done to activate the mouse during safe mode startup?

Chances are that your mouse will not function when you go into safe mode because the wireless mouse uses a program that will not function when the computer is in safe mode Big chances are that you are going to need an old fashion wired mouse to operate your computer in safe mode or just use your keyboard.
