How do I determine if windows xp is 32 bit or 64 bit

How do I determine if internet explorer is 32 bit or 64 bit

I need to know in order to pick certain security patches updates

To find out is pretty easy all you do is go to the control panel and then click on the systems icon and then the window that pops out will tell you how many bits is in your system.
