How can I get my PC to recognize my 20GB hard drive?

Dear Sir,

I have a Computer Having Hard Disk of 20 GB but due to some

ill-operations performed By me,the Computer Displays Only 10 GB memory

Please Guide me to get rid of this problem so that I can use full 20 GB Memory.

This question was answered on June 5, 2003. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.


When you installed you hard drive you had to format it But you also had use FDISK this allows you to create something called partitions, you need this to allow the hard drive to accept information, you also create the FAT which is a File Allocation Table Next in the BIOS you must enable Large Drive Support This will allow you PC to recognize the full 20 GB.
