Hi. My main problem is that my system always hang. I noticed them a week ago when playing games. At that time I thought it was just a normal condition as I progress during the play. I realized only that even a simple windows explorer, the computer hangs the same way. The screen will flicker back and forth and sometimes will produce vivid colors (derived from the images on the screen) formed like a shattered glass or wood flakes and then hangs. Sounds will keep playing back and forth like playing a dirty Audio CD. I already reformat my harddisk, scan and defraged them (I have 40 GB HD partitioned to 2). Thanks in advance.

Check the cable Monitor flicker can be caused by a poor cable connection.

Try using a different refresh rate Right-Click on the desktop select Properties from the menu.

Also, check the Control Panel, Display, Settings to see if a high resolution (greater than 800 x 600 with more than 256 colors) is selected.

The video card may not support this resolution/color setting.
