Distributed operating system is a database of information that is spit into parts, with each part residing on a different server.

Distributed Database is necessary for fault tollerance on a network of operating systems.

The advantages of distributed operating systems are centralized management of data and back ups ensures that duplicate copies of data are always automatically available for restoring lost or damaged files.

For the other three questions I would suggest that you run a search engine such as www.Google.com to get accurate information.
