FAster ram

I installed more memory but it has not increased my speed that I noticed--

I heard that there is something I should do to allow windows to recognize the added memory

Well actually the ram determin how many programs you can run on your computer the over all speed of how fast your computer process the program is the determin by the speed of your processor if you will like to know if the computer reqognised the extra ram chip you can click on start/ setting / control panel and the go to the system icon that should tell you how much mem is in ur system.
