How to stop modem disconnect

Using SBC Yahoo Dial up. After printing an e-mail or web page the modem disconnects and

I must reconnect each time. Is there a fix avaiable? Canon, no help, dell no help, SBC no help,

microsoft no help...HELP!

It sounds like there is an IRQ conflict between your printer and your modem You can check this by clicking start, programs, accesories, system tools, system information On the left side expand hardware resources and click IRQ folder From here check if your modem and your printer are sharing the same IRQ If so change the modem to IRQ 10.
