A week ago my system boot/re-boot buttons became sluggish then my system just didnt boot up at all . The buttons still lit up and the fan whirred but nothing from my hard drives, just a 'no-system ' message on monitor. Usually - yep I've had horrific problems before - I've known it was power supply problem or I've been left with bios/dos to try to figure things out from . This time I know it isnt the former so I'm wondering - call it hoping against hope - if it could be the clock battery or something easilly fixed . Am I asking too much? Heeeeelllllpppppp!

Are the lights on the keyboard on? if so it is not your cpu You said you don't hear your hard drive, open the case and check to see if one of the cables came loose, this can happen from time to time, if that is not the case than it is possible that your hard drve crashed and you have to replace ti.
