How do I get rid of another operting system I have running?

having problems with windows 2000, loaded windows xp, but not over windows 2000. now i have two operating sysems in computer! how do you delete one of them....or....how do i reboot everything and start over? i like windows xp and want to keep this one in operation, would prefer to lose the windows 2000. any help is greatly appriactiated

What you have is called a dual boot, in order to get rid of one OS however you will have to format your hard drive and just install XP, in the beginning of the installation it will tell you weather to upgrade or just install, you must have picked just install and that is what happend a dual boot.
