Dell has a number of repo and refurbished desktops for sale that have no operating system installed. How much of a job is it to install an operating system and about what would it cost?

Installing an operating system, is not as hard as it looks All you have to do is get a copy of a windows 2000 cd and insert it in the cd-rom Follow the directions on all the steps which you will be asked throughout the process I will also suggest that you create 4 windows 2000 emergency boot up disk in case of any problems To create boot up disk, you have to run the makeboot.exe tool from the bootdisk folder on the windows 2000 cd-rom The cd itself can cost about 200 dollars, most likely you can get a copy from a friend if you do not want to spend money.
