How do I set Port forwarding in order to play Combat Flight Simulator on line?

Recent obtained COX cable. Love it. Also installed Netgear RP614 firewall router. Can not figure out how to set Port forwarding in order to play Combat Flight Simulator on line. Everything else works just fine. I am very reluctant to bypass the router. How do I config the ports? Is this indeed the solution? I have searched support sites for MS, Netgear, and Cox. I know my IP address etc. I think my problem lies with knowing how to fill out the settings in the NetGear Port forwarding section, have tried every combination of numbers in various fields etc, but I cannot get the game to launch. Help!!!!!!!!!

The instructions for setting the port forwarding can be found at the Netgear Web site When the mouse is over the support button at the top of the main page, a drop down menu appears Select technical support and do a search for setting port forwarding
