Repair help?

I recently downloaded a microsoft update and have had a lot of problems since. I biggest problem is a program I had called quickverse 6.0, when I try to run it I am told the dll is not available to load, when I try to reinstall the program the computer tells me that the software is corrupted. I have tried to uninstall the program and am told on wise uninstall that the install.log file is unavailable. I tried to restore back to a point before the updates were installed and it didn't do any good.
