My computer lately doesn't recognize my second Hard drive (D:) and CD-Rom (E:) drive on the desktop

My computer lately doesn't recognize my second Hard drive (D:) and CD-Rom (E:) drive on the desktop. This has handicapped my computer. Can't restore my system to factory condition because the CD-drive doesn't work.

Did you go into your computer? are you shure that you didn't go into the bios and change the startup sequence, when you started your computer have you tried booting in the first hard drives partition if all of that fails you might have to reinstall your OS or just get a new hard drive
