A while ago i installed a game, Diablo II, on my computer, the game ran just fine. Not to long ago i took the game off. And rcently i have reinstalled the game. But now when i go to play the game I get a message saying

"Please Varify that the (game disk) is in your CD-Rom drive, then click retry"

I made sure that the game was in the CD-Rom, and clicked Retry, But the message just reappears.

I have tried putting other games on the computer and it does the same thing to them, so i can assume that the problem is not with the disk. i have also tried installing a different CD-Rom, but the error still appears.

Is it problem with my hardrive, like a virus or something?

It sounds like when you uninstalled the game the first time, that you might have deleted an important file or even a driver If you have a the OS cd try to locate it on that I would still run an anti virus scan just in case Also check Device Manager is System properties, it should tell you what kind of problem you are having.
