1. SInce Last few days my Computer Hangs if I make Changes in Folder Options or Task bar Properties. Otherwise everything else is fine. I surf, Listen to Music etc. What could be the problem. ?

2. Should I reinstall Windows 98. Or should I run the Setup. If I run the setup will it affect other installed programs.

Please find a solution to my above problems and reply at the earliest. I would be very grateful.

Thanking You in Advance,

Jacob

Good Queston for you, When did this problem occur?, Did you have install a new device in your computer?, Have you made some changes to your system board such as changing the speed clock of the CPU or RAM or the system If you did this then Undo this.

when you make a change settings don't do this while a program is running such as Internet Explorer Close many program and backgrown running programs, reduce the icons from the system tray that is at the right side of the taskbar.

If you Uninstall a program that you might think it gives you problem.

Also it is importan to have a least 1 GB of Free space where you had install your Windows 98 Reduce temporary files by using Cleanup disk, try to increase more free space for your hard drive or other wise by another hard drive.

You might also run the scanreg /opt at the run dialog box this might help.
