Cd burner

Why is the cd burner not reading or writing? When I insert a disk to read it revs up so high like as if it were to blow out of the computer. When I open my cd burner software to burn some music or files on the disk and then insert a blank disk for the music files to go on it. I start it to burn the music, but it does nothing as if it is trash. What do I do?

The reason why it is not reading or writing is because files are corrupted to fix this you will have to reinstall cd burner software if not that then clean the cd read and write with cleaning solution.
