My computer is shutting itself down and restarting. There is no pattern to this. It can do it several times a day; right in the middle of working on something; or just whenever it feels like it. This is very annoying. Then it will restart itself. Sometimes (a lot recently) when it restarts windows it freezes up. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Bekka

Scan for viruses or unidentified files or folders and remove them First make sure you don't need them by checking the properties Virus avoid detection by hiding in folder.

You may also have a bad power supply or may also have faulty hardware such as blown capacitators on the motherboard which is very common with these symptoms. I don't suggest you try and fix it, go to an computer technician.
