Is there a better scandisk utility? MS Scandisk on my computer won't run from windows even in safe mode with all TSR programs dissabled. It runs fine out to a particular sector and freezes up. I tried running scandisk on a bootable floppy from the command line in DOS and it works fine. The problem is it is very slow. My drive scans fine through the first 1,648,213 clusters and then it starts erroring on just about every cluster. I been running scandisk for two days now and only progresses to cluster 1,701,120. I still have about 200,000 cluster left on my HD and I fear I could be a this for days.

The main issue is from the command line the /autofix function does not work with the surface scan feature so I have to sit and hit "fix" for every bad sector that pops up. This is a real pain. So do you know of an eaiser way to do this?

Thanks
