Some e-mail that I download, I am unable to open to view. When I click to open, I receive the message that there was a problem with the accessibility wizard in loading the file.

The attachments that were e-mailed had a <.mim> extension. How do I download and then how do I open the file?

Thanks

A .mim file extension is short for MIME MIME stands for Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions In other words, mim files are a way of sending files across the internet as an attachment to e-mail messages Opening mim files is very simple, as long as you have the correct software to open them One of the best programs to open mim files is a utility called Winzip, which you can download from the Winzip home page

If you already have Winzip try opening it and browsing to the file to open it directly You may also need to reassociate zip files with Winzip(or which ever type of zip program you have) To do that, select (highlight the zip file) and then Shift and Right click on it Select "Open With" from the dialog and then find your zip program through the scroll menu After selecting it, put a check in "always use" and click OK.

If that fails to resolve it, and you are not using any Accessibility features, you might want to try removing those from Windows You can do this by going to Control Panal> Add/Remove Programs> Windows Setup Take the check out of the "Accessibility" box, click OK and then reboot
