I am unable to download Jpeg pictures?

I am unable to download jpeg pictures from people. The microsoft photo editor scree pops up and is blank and another box pops up saying: Microsoft Photo editor and then says error reading file. I then try right clicking on quick vew and the following message appears: There are no viewers registered for this type file. Would you like to try the default viewers? I answer yes and another screen pops up and says: This file can not be opened for quick view. It may be open or locked by another application or you may not have access to it. Any suggestions. Thank you

A way to resolve this problem is by clicking the file once While doing that also press the shift key, while holding the buttons right click the Jpeg file and select open This should resolve the problem
