Installing a software

Let Data Doctors be your personal IT department today

Everytime I try to install new software, I get the following error:

Unhandled Exception

Description: Incompatible version of the RPC stub

Setup will now terminate.

What the hell does this mean? Thanks for any help you can give me.

When a program calls the IEnumGUID interface (such as a call to the Next method), the following error 0x80070725 error message may be generated:

Incompatible version of the RPC stub

SOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem.
