I upgraded my husband's Compaq computer to XP. It was fine for a while. Now, when I use his computer and hit the search option - nothing shows up in the search box so I can search files.. Also, when I hit Help, Help does not load.

First what was the operating system you had before you upgraded to XP maybe your computer is not design to handle windows XP make sure you have at least 10 to 15 giga bytes in your hard drive and make sure that your memory s at least 128 or above also there is the option that the software was not loaded currectly try to reformat your hard drive with XP again be careful which options you choose if the problem proceeds then i suggest your reformat back to your original operating system
