What is upgrade your browsers

My computer has been acting up lately. I can connect to the internet and everything works fine, but after a while it messes up and I cannot open any webpages or use any programs that involve the internet (AIM, interactive computer games, etc.) The only way I've solved this is restarting the computer when it does this. Is there any better solution?
