How to get it to print. I had asked epson website and this is the reply that I got and it didnt work. Please help

Please try the following to resolve the communication issue:

If you are getting an error message that states "User Intervention

Required" or "Use Printer Offline", the printer driver may have become

disabled. If there are any error lights on the printer, such as "INK

OUT" or "PAPER OUT", this must be corrected before the printer will

become online again. If that is not the case, please try the following

to resolve the issue:

WINDOWS 95/98/ME

1. Click on "START", "SETTINGS", "PRINTERS".

2. Highlight the icon of your printer with a single click.

3. Click on "FILE".

4. The only check mark should be on "SET AS DEFAULT".

5. Ensure there is no check mark on "PAUSE PRINTING" or "USE PRINTER

OFFLINE".

6. Simply click on any other check marks to remove.

7. Try printing.

WINDOWS NT/2000

1. Click on "START", "SETTINGS", "PRINTERS".

2. Highlight the icon of your printer with a single click.

3. Click on "FILE".

4. There should be a check mark on "SET AS DEFAULT".

5. Make sure there is no check mark on "PAUSE PRINTING" or "USE PRINTER

OFFLINE".

6. Simply click on the check mark to remove.

7. Try printing.

Do you have the printer disk?? if so uninstall printer and reinstall it again the problem may be a driver issue the cd will have all the drivers you will need if this does not work you can go to www.driverguy.com and download the drivers need for that printer with the OS that you are using.

after downloading the driver then you follow the directions that you have above

hope this helps.
