What are folder options?

Greetings

I have two folders on the deaktop. One for me and one forr my wife. We use these folders for easy access to programs and files that we often use.

I have the floders properties set to show ICONS. Every now and then they chnage to TILES. I have not found a common task that I am performing that I can tie to the changing of the icons to tiles.

It may go for days or weeks with no change, and then it may happen in a 24 hour period after I reset them to icons.

You will need to set your folder options for this problem to go away Open up a folder whether it's in My Documets or My Music First, select the type of view you would like to have in the folder by clicking on 'View' located on the top menu bar Select the appropriate view from the menu and then click on 'Tools' located on the same menu bar Scroll down to Folder Options Clicking on this will bring up another window Click on the 'View' tab and then click on the button labeled 'Apply to All Folders' This will set all the folders to the current view that you have Good Luck!!
