HOW DO I UNINSTALL AND THEN REINSTALL WINDOWS XP?

Ah that's not as hard as you think..

Just a few minor steps you have to do

First instert the windows XP cd inside your computer and restart your machine..

When you computer boots up it should say "press any key to boot from CD" in this case just hit enter Now your machine will get prepared for XP install Once that is done, you will have a choice of options Choose install XP then it will ask you where you want to install it. You could partition your hard drive from there if you like or you can just use the whole thing

((Reminder: Installing XP will erase ALL of your old data..ie: programs, files, pictures, etc)) Once you decide how much space you want to use for install you choose a file system..((I recommend NTFS, it makes good use of space on your hard drive)) then your computer will ask if you want to format now. say yes and waa laaaa. XP should begin to format (erase everything) your hard drive and begin to install. Follow the easy step by step instructions and thats all..

If you can not get your computer to boot off the CD you will have to go to your computer BIOS and set it so it reads the CD rom drive first To do this you will have to restart your machine and press F10 ( or Del key on some machines ) when booting up then once in the bios setup go to advanced tab and look for boot order. and change it so it reads CD ROM ( or D: drive which ever your cd rom letter is ) first Once you done that save and apply the changes Restart your machine with the Windows XP CD inside and it should now read the CD when booting up.

I hope this has helped you

Good luck and enjoy
