Why is your computer freezing??

packard bell pc ..installed sony crx175a cdrw as master on secondary eide...pc recognizes drive and shows its working properly..this is seen in device manager...the problem is that the cdrw freezes when trying to play any cd....when i install a cdrom on the secondary eide the cds play ok....please help ..i dont know what to do....why does the pc freeze when playing cds on the sony cdrw crx175x...thank you

The answer to your problems has two solutions first change your ide cable on the sony to slave and the cd to master the second is your computer may not e compatible with the cdrw it might read it but it will not work for the reason your computer may not be able to support that device.
