I am looking into networking my laptop and desktop that are in the same room. I want to share files, an all-in-one printer, digital camera and my cable internet connection with the laptop. The laptop and desktop are located in the same room which makes ethernet the best option. I know my laptop has a Broadcom 440x 10/100 integrated controller. My desk top has 3 items listed under network adapters. One is for the cable modem and the other two are 1394 Net Adapter and Intel (r) Pro/100VE Network connection (By the way, the Intel device has a yellow exclamation point by it). I am also thinking of adding a switching hub to get the fastest performance between the 2 computers. Which of these network adaptors is the one I use for my purposes?
Thanks!! I love the radio show!!!

You will need Intel (r) Pro/100ve network connection but make sure you have the network drivers installed properly.
