Why does my IE keeps shuting down.

My IE keeps shuting down with this message.

"IEXPLORE.exe has generated an error & will be closed by Windows. You need to restart.

An error log is being created.

OK."

Is there anything you can advise as to why this is happening & how I could correct this problem. It happens frequently and is very annoying as I'm trying to enter data at a site and when this occurs I loose all the data I have input, and have to start over from scratch.

You should run a virus scan on the computer to see if any virus is corrupting a file that would make that message come up If that does not work, you may after reinstall the Operating system, but make sure you back up first.
