The current transfer mode of my HD is udma 5 ( 100 ) . my HD is for desktops, it's ATA and manifactured by maxtor ( the model name is "Maxtor 2F040J0" ).

The problem is that it can support udma 6 ( 133 ) , but I can't manage to change the transfer mode from udma 5 to udma 6.

Go to the c-mos setup or bios setup

manually change harddrive

don't allow the c-mos to automatically detect the harddrive but if this methhod does not work then you will need to update your Bios
