What to do

Good day...hopefully someone can help me. Okay here is my situation.

All of a sudden maybe two-three weeks ago my computer would be in the middle of something and then shut down....there would be a whirring noise coming from the speakers which were on and the only thing you could hear was the fan. When you try to turn it off and back on again only the fan comes on and sometimes it will come on normally and then shut off at some period. If I bang it gently on the floor it will start normally. My modem also started recently to get a lot of noise...to the point where it could not dial...now it is fine....my ocmputer seems okay for now...but I am sure it will do it again,

I did not know where to post this problem.....please help.....what on earth could all of a sudden create these problems....

I cannot get it fixed since the company I bought it from just picked up and left and I have no idea where they are....probably bankrupt.

Hi greg you can open your computer and see if it have a lot of dusty stuff in it and try to blown it with a can of air spray and also check all the hardware is plug in good and also the wire too see if that will work.
