I have just started in a very small high school with 16 computers. I am trying to find a free peice of software that will analyse each system for me and tell me quickly processor speed, memory, video card, hard drive typ, network card type, IP address, etc. Or -- can you give me the list of steps I need to check each of the above as quickly as possible. I'm very surprised that the memory is so low in the machines for the most part -- 28MB. It seems to me the machines would be much more usable if I upgraded memory -- but before I can solicit donations, I need to know exactly how much, what type, etc. I found some motherboard manuals, but it's been difficult to tell if they match up. Many, many thanks for your help.

Sincerely,

Sr. Elizabeth Susan

If they are Windows operated you can go to run and type msinfo32 and that would give you information on your system.

Try tomshardware.com to look at upgrading.
