I have 2 Conner 852 MB hard driver on and IBM 486 100. Recently, while I was away, the D: drive threw a wobbly, and my brother attempted to resurrect it. He did a low level format, but when he tried re-partitioning the drive (one Primary DOS Partition, as before), Fdisk refused to recognise more than 540 MB. He tried to partition it into more than one drive, but could only get to 540 MB total. I vaguely remember when I got the system I was told that the hard-disks needed a driver (or similar). Is this true? And if it is, where to I get it and how do I install it?
