I am having trouble with the display settings on this computer. This just happened last week. Have had computer for over a year. When I attempt to click on the settings page in display, the whole computer screen goes back and I must reset the tower. I can get to safe mode and then when I am in normal mode I can adjust the settings page. but the changes do not stay. The computer reboots back to the old color and size settings.

It think driver is the solution for your problems, Find out what is your video card manufacture and model After you had find out then go to the manufacture website and find the latest drivers Then After you had dowload the driver go to the device manager a find the video card from there update the driver.

Also find out the manufacture and brand of your monitor to get the color profile for the device After you get the color profile then by goin in the display properties/ setting tab and go to Advanced tab and then to color management and add the color profile.

Then after you had update the latest driver, you will be able to change the setting, try to set the refresh rate between 66-75Hz, also dont try to increase more than 1024x768.
