How to fix slow computer

When I am on the internet and move my mouse or scroll or type or any give it any command it takes about 5 to 10 seconds for it to happen. It has been doing this for a couple of months now and is really aggrivating. I think that something might have been downloaded that has affected my computer. But I am not sure. My computer only has this problem when I am on the internet. It happens about 90% of the time. Please help. Thanky you, Dan

Dan it sounds like you need an upgrade of memory What you should do is contact the manufacturer of your PC and have them tell you what kind of RAM you need Generally the more RAM you have the faster your PC will be Also you may want to get an antivirus program, if you think you may have downloaded something malicious Also defragment your harddrive Click start, programs, accersories, system tools, disk defragmenter This will give you a little more speed also.
