when i try to play games on yahoo the applet doesn't load. it's just the white screen with a little box with a little red x in it in the top left corner. then it says 'wait 3 minutes for the applet to load, if it doesnt load click here' but you click on here and it doesnt do anything. i also tried downloading java but it says you dont have administrative permissions please fix the problem before you try downloading again. *** we just got a new hard drive and new memory and everything worked fine before we had that done. i'm thinkin something just needs to be toggled on or off but i dont know help meeeeeeeee.

Well, both you and your PC are correct - first the white screen means that you need the Java application to run it, second you have to be logged in as an administrator in order to install the application That would be the default account that was setup when initially setting up Windows.

When you boot up your PC there should be a list of names - one should read administrator, that is the account you need to log in, in order to download and install Java successfully.
