My computer crashed about a year ago and I had to reinstall everything. Since then, I had to replace the modem and the sound card b/c they were not recognized by the computer. I still can't use myDVD/ CD burner and my computer is really slow. I have high speed internet and it does not move as fast as it should. It also freezes whenever I am on it for longer than a few minutes. Is there anything I can do to make my CD/DVD work? What can I do to increase speed? Do you advise getting a "tune-up"?

To answer one question at a time First answer to help you about your computer speed High speed internet is not going to make your computer any faster That is just for you to connect to internt websites faster One reason your computer may be going to slow is you may not have enoung memory to run your applications You can buy a 32 bit or a 64 bit memory chip Another way to speed up your computer you can dowload a program The website you can download the program is http://greatware.net/computer_speed/ and you can choice from varies programs to download The reason your DVD/CD burner is not working might depend on the Operating System you are running ( Win 95, Win 98 etc...) The burner could be a out dated and would not be compatible with the OS (operating systm) that is installed on ur computer Another problem is you will have to install the drivers for your burner to run with OS.

I hope these where the answer you were looking for and help you in your computer "tune-up".
