First of all is there any new viruses affecting startup of windows for windows xp pro? A computer we have freezes at startup or shortly after. Is there any common problems like this or do we need to do a diagnostic test on it to find out what is wrong. Thanks

Hello..

First off i would check my system and what it has in it Does it meet the system requirements of Windows XP Then you might also want to take a look at Microsoft's HCL (hardware compatibility list) which is now Windows Catalogue, to make sure your hardware is supported by XP You can do that by going to http://microsoft.com/whdc/hcl/default.mspx I hope this has helped you

Good luck
