Popups do not show up

My internet connection works and when I type in the web adress I get to the site. The problem is that I can not view thing in any kind of smaller window. If i click on an ad from the original website a window pops up but it just shows the website I was at. If I want to play a game the same thing happens the windows pops up but nothing is there and pop up ads do not even show up on my computer. Do you know whta the problem is?

You may have some kind of pop up blocker running you may want to disable it or set the preferences to your liking these programs tend to be very indescriminate about what they block and have a tendency to block pop ups that aren't really bad You may also want to check that active x controls and java are enabled on your browser if you have Internet explorer and it is your default browser than you can navigate to the tools then select internet options then click the security tab and select the custom levels button.
