On recent emails received with attachments there is a message "OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail" and then it lists the title of the email. Attachments are being sent/forwarded from known sources. What is causing this meesage to appear and how can this be changed so I can receive the attachments, of course if not harmful to the system.

By default OE-Outlook Express is set to not allow you touse, save, see, etc. attachements sent to you in an email In order to prevent this open up Outlook Express, select TOOLS, OPTIONS, and SECURITY, then uncheck the box that reads "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus." That should take care of you issue.
