I somehow deleted the pictures to my icons. It is simply giving me the Windows puzzle pic in the corner of the icons. I tried to delete and create new ones, but I received the same result. How can I get my icons back?

You could try installing TweakUI and running the "repair icons" function TweakUI can be found be doing a search with your favorite search engine and then downloading and installing it If this doesn't work try deleting the hidden file shelliconcache (should be under C;\Windows) and reboot This is a cache file that stores your icons for Windows Explorer and is probably corrupt.

If this doesn't work, you may have an association to the .ICO file extension The easiest way to remove it is to go to the Control Panel, select Tools, Folder Options, File Types and scroll down to the file type ICO Check to see if there is a program associated with it It there is delete the file type and restart.
